Hicks Design
He’s popular, and busy. Maybe he charges good too.
But you can be sure from his showcases that his work means quality.
Lisa Sabin
She designed the template for my Adam & Hawa in Love blog. Very nice. Have a look at her other designs.
And All That Malarkey
He’s quite opinionated. Try visiting his site with Firefox then with IE 6. Last time I checked he made it so that the IE 6 site is shown in black-and-white (ironicing that “your browser isn’t standards-based” thing). But his designs are gorgeous.
John Oxton
I like him. Not only because of his designs but mainly because the way he talks and writes in his blog. Yeah, you’ll get some crude words there, for a warning. But to me that means he’s just as human as the rest of us and not too formal-ish.
Danny Halarewich of Limewheel
His designs are pretty, clean, beautiful, refreshing… Uses CSS and validates as XHTML Strict!
Just check his portfolio out!

If you REALLY have time, just go to Stylegala. Pick the one that you really like most (fits your style), then contact the designer. There’s got to be something for somebody. (but of course the price fits.) Since the designer will work full-time for you for maybe a few
weeks to a month or even more, you know what to expect about the
price.
