		<description>Hi thanks for taking the effort to bring this problem up. I cant find anyone else even mentioning the  connection problems between  DBDesigner 4 and MySQL5.  I also could not connect to MySQL5  from DBDesigner and there is zero information that i can find on it.
Still   its  now   August 20  2007   and the MySQL Workbench  guys seem to claim a final version of  MySQL Workbench will be out in  a few months. So I hope that will  put the connection issue to rest.
Meanwhile  do you know if  applications designed in   DBDesigner 4 can  be  moved to   MySQLWork bench?
